HENDERSON - Robert L Smitherman, 76, of Henderson, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday at Henderson Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services are to be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Crawford - A Crim Chapel
Dr. L. Chester Guinn is to conduct the rites and burial is to be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
A native of McLennan County, he had been a resident of Rusk County for 33 years and was a retired pumper for the Hunt Oil Company. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sudie Smitherman, Henderson; one son, Dewey Smitherman, Henderson; three sisters, Mrs. G.D. Messimer, New Braunfels, Mrs. O. C. Zoller, Tyler, and Mrs. Virginia Morris, Longview.
