Robert Louis Smitherman Jr., 55,
of Grenada, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the Grenada Lake Medical
Center. Visitation was held from 9 until 10 a.m. on Monday, July 16, at
Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada. Funeral services were at 10 a.m.
Monday at Hebron Baptist Church. Burial followed in Hebron Cemetery in
Grenada.
Robert was born on April 7, 1957, in West Point, Miss., to Robert Louis Smitherman Sr. and Mary Nell Smitherman. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada. He was employed as a cabinet maker in a furniture factory until his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Shae Austin and Corrisa Nicole Smitherman, both of Grenada; a son, Jason Daniel Smitherman of Grenada; three brothers, Calvin C. Smitherman of Aberdeen, James Timothy Smitherman of Grenada, and Prentiss Smitherman of Greenville; his step-mother, Ruby Smitherman of Glen Allan; and two grandchildren, Tristan Austin and Andree Austin, both of Grenada.
National Funeral Home was in charge.
