- Memorial services for Mr. R. Warren Ferrell Jr., 40, of Kerrville,
who died
Thursday, March 6, 2003, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Monday,
March 10
at the Chapel of Overby Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Mr.
Ferrell was
born May 9, 1962, in Houston, to Robert and Irene Ferrell Sr. He was
married
May 22, 1982, in Houston, to Katherine Smitherman
. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1985. He worked for
NASA space
program in Clear Lake, Texas, until the birth of his son, Ben. He
lovingly
raised his children and was actively involved as a volunteer with their
schools
and swim team. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Smitherman
Ferrell of Kerrville; son, Benjamin Jacob Ferrell; daughter, Leah Diane
Ferrell; mother, Irene Ferrell of Kerrville; father, Robert Warren
Ferrell Sr.
of Houston; sister, Melissa and Lt. Col. Joe Baker of Herndon, Va.;
nieces,
Callie Baker and Lindsay Baker; sister-in-law, Anne and husband, Greg
Berman,
of Bellingham, Wash.; in-laws, James and Diane
Smitherman of Kerrville; and many loving friends who will miss
him dearly. Memorials may be made to the Swim Team at the Family Sports
Center,
Kerrville, Texas, E.A.A. Chapter 757 of the Young Eagles, Rt. 1, Box
92,
Comfort, Texas 78013 or to the charity of one's choice. Overby Funeral
