Ruby Mae Russell, age 85, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017. She was born Oct. 12, 1931, in Holdenville, OK, to Bowmer and Eunice Smitherman. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, sister, daughter and friend.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Aaron Russell; parents; beloved daughter, Margie Sims; grandsons, Mark Casey and Heath Harbison; brothers, Harold and Ronald Smitherman; and sisters, June Bates, Alma Nicholson, and Loretta Petitt;
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Cape and Lonnie and Lea Anna Davidson and Terry; sister, Barbara Fulton; brother, Bowmer Smitherman, Jr.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
