Sadie (davis) wooten

WOOTEN EAST BEND - Sadie Davis Wooten, 94, of East Bend, passed away Monday, March 2, 2009 at Hoots Hospital. She was born in Yadkin County on February 16, 1915 to Jess and Wilda Lineberry Davis. She was a member of Forbush Friends Meeting. Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benbow Wooten; a son, Archie Wooten; one brother, Lewis Davis and two sisters, Blanche Carter and Pearl Carter. Surviving are her children, Hilda (Mickey) Smitherman, Nellia (Tommy) Hall, and Davis (Glenda) Wooten all of East Bend; six sisters, Roxie Hobson, Edith Carter, Faye Brown all of East Bend, Maye Jarvis of Covington, VA, Laura Ruth (Page) Wall of Yadkinville, and Jessie Ray (Jimmie) Smitherman of Pfafftown; five grandchildren, Loris (Danny) Coe, Maurice (Shonda) Smitherman, Michael (Samyra) Matthews, Brian (Kara) Wooten, and Evan (Misty) Wooten; ten great-grandchildren,Ryan and Reid Coe, Sailor and Sydney Smitherman, Mackenzie and Sophia Matthews, Jesse and Ellie Wooten, Reagan and Reese Wooten; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ethel Griffen, Edsel Wooten, Vicy Key, Cora Hutchens, E.V. (Betty) Wooten, Allen (Peggy) Wooten all of East Bend, and Barbara (Frank) Gentry of Yadkinville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at at the Forbush Friends Meeting with the Rev. Andy Lambert officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 to lie instate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening, March 3, 2009 at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend.
