KING - Sally Newsom Smitherman, 79,
of King passed away Thursday, April 13, 2006. She was born Dec. 25,
1926, in Stokes County to the late Rufus and
Ella Vest Newsom. Survivors include her five children, Donna
Moorefield, Ronnie Walters, Vickie Wall, Debbie Bohannon and
Andy Smitherman
, all of King; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister,
Zella Drosche, of Houston, Texas. A memorial
service will be held at 11 a.m. today, April 15, at King Christian
Center, 995 Brown Road, King.
