Sarah S. Martin, 91, of Limestone, died Friday at her home.

Mrs. Martin was a member of Limestone United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Limestone Garden Club, and served on the Greene County Fair Board for a number of years.

She was the widow of Claude Martin.

Survivors include three sisters and a brother-in-law: Ruth May of Lenoir, N.C., Mae S. Jones of DeLand, Fla., and Beulah S. and Harrison Ward of Lenoir; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: George Smitherman, Grady Smitherman, Loyd Smitherman, and Louis Smitherman; and two sisters: Lucy S. May and Pearl S. Harman.

There will be no formal visitation.

A graveside service was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in Providence Presbyterian Cemetery. The Rev. Cheryl Caruso officiated.

Pallbearers were the men of Limestone UM Church.
