SMITHERMAN
EAST BEND - Tony Warren Smitherman, 51 of East Bend passed
away Thursday, September 11, 2008. He was born in Forsyth County on
February 19, 1957 to Roy Lee and Ann M. Smitherman. Mr. Smitherman was
employed by Smitherman Nursery for many years. He was preceded in death
by his father. Surviving are his son, Shanon (Wendy) Smitherman of East
Bend; mother, Ann M. Smitherman of East Bend; three sisters, Stephanie
(Mickey) Clodfelter, Debbie Hutchens, and Sharon (Jerry) Adams all of
East Bend; two grandchildren, Kailey and Chase Smitherman; two nephews,
Jason (Carmen) Hutchens and Heath (Kailey) Adams; three nieces, Karen
Adams, Andrea Clodfelter, and Amy Clodfelter; and two great-nephews,
Trent and Tyler Hutchens. Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M.,
Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Friendship Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Chris Byrne officiating. Body will be place in the church at 1:30
P.M. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive
friends Friday from 6 until 8 P.M., at Huff Funeral Home. Flowers will
be accepted or memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 4744
Siloam Road, East Bend, NC 27018.
