Colonel (retired) William
Anthony Smitherman, 73, a former resident of Monument, CO., passed from
our loving presence Dec 17. 1997 in Lompoc, CA. Born on Dec. 14
1924 in Seabrook, TX, He was a Colonel in the United States Air Force,
served in three wars and received the Legion of Merit Award for
outstanding performances in his duties. Retired from the Air
Force in 1973. He is survived by his wife Sueanna Smitherman and
his 13 children, 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Lompoc, CA by the Neptune Society
Saturday Dec. 20th, 1997 at 10:30 a.m.
