William H. Smitherman, 66, of
Laguna Hills, Calif., whose mother and sister live in Mooresville, died
Sunday in an Anaheim hospital. The body was cremated.
The son of H. Wilson and Iva Hite Smitherman, he was born in Mooresville April 23, 1914. He was married to the former Ruth Rothmeyer of Burlingame, Calif.
Mr. Smitherman was a beautiican and tax specialist and was a member of the Mooresville Friends Church and the West Newton Masonic Lodge. He graduated from Mooresville HIgh School in 1932 and was a World War II veteran/
Survivors besides his mother in Mooresville and his wife are a stepdaughter Ruth Ann of Pasadena, Calif., a sister, Waneta Allison of Mooresville; and a brother, Wendell Smitherman of Coatsville.
