WILTON “DICK” SMITHERMAN, age 70
of Jemison, passed away on June 25, 2017 at his residence. He was born
in Chilton County on August 26, 1946; the son of the late Milton
Smitherman and the late Odie Bell Cleckler Smitherman.
He was a carpenter.
He is survived by: Daughter, Wendy Cleckler Smitherman of Clanton; Son, Jerry (Wendy) Smitherman of Clanton; Son, Dale (Jill) Smitherman of Clanton; Son, Tracey Smitherman of Clanton; 8 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Myrtice Walker of Clanton, Dolly Bell (Earl) Hessler of Clanton, Shirley (Donnie) Patterson of Clanton, Merle Heflin of Clanton, and Evereen Minor of Clanton; and a Brother, Charles (Alice) Smitherman of Clanton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5-8pm at 129 Co. Rd. 419 in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Kelvin Smitherman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lime Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Clanton.
