GARLAND - Shawn Alan Stuekerjuergen, 22, of Garland, died
Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999.
He was the grandson of Mount Pleasant resident Robert Swanson Smitherman.
Mr. Stuekerjuergen was born July 29, 1977. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School and attended St. John's Episcopal Church. Mr. Stuekerjuergen was a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He attended the University of North Texas where he was a newly initiated Kappa Sigma.
He is survived by his father Dennis A. Stuekerjuergen; mother Gayle Smitherman Thompson; grandparents Romanus and Helen Stuekerjuergen; grandfather Robert Swanson Smitherman; sisters Kristin Granger and Yvonne Gibney.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Dallas, under the direction of Williams Funeral Directors of Garland. Father Terrence Jordon, Father Emmett Waits, Father Donald Binder and Father Doug Travis officiated.
Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Memorial Fund.
