Annie b smitherman
Ann Smitherman, 93, formerly of
Pontotoc, died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at Pontotoc Health Services after
a brief illness. She was born April 15, 1907, in Pontotoc County. She
was a retired administrative assistant with Shelby County Board of
Education in Memphis. She was a member of First Baptist Church in
Memphis. Her family meant everything to her. She enjoyed shopping.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at West Heights Cemetery with Bro. Tommy Inmon officiating. Baldwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one brother, Elzie “Pete” Smitherman and his wife, Louise, of Pontotoc; two nieces, Angela Swords and Rita Kyle; one nephew, Billy Smitherman; three great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Milton Swords, Brooks Snider, Charles Swords, Jerry Moore, Steve Bramlett and Scott Hooker.
Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m. today and from 8:30 until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
