joy ladean (jackson) smitherman
Joy Jackson Smitherman, a life long resident of Floyd County, died peacefully on January 8, 2015. She is survived by her children, daughter, Brynn of Fort Worth and son, Kelly of Boston; her siblings, Bob Jackson of Ovilla, Texas, Floy Bishop of Uvalde, Texas, and Lynn Jackson and wife, Joyce of Duncanville, Texas. In addition she is survived by her brother-in-law, Mac Smitherman and sister-in-law, Charlene Smitherman of Barwise.
Other surviving relatives include many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mrs. Smitherman will be laid to rest in her beloved community of Floydada next to her husband, Clifford Rex Smitherman, who died in 1971.
