Funeral
service for Mary Eunice Smitherman, 89, will be Monday, April 2, 2018
at 11 a.m. at Weogufka Family Worship Center with Bro. Tommy Thornton
officiating. Burial will be in Weogufka Family Worship Center Cemetery in Weogufka. Mrs. Smitherman died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Goodwater Healthcare Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Alvin D. Smitherman; mother, Mary Lucille Liveoak; father, David Otis Liveoak; sister, Bernice Bacon; and brother, Lawrence Liveoak. She was a member of Weogufka Family Worship Center where she loved to worship her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Her favorite quote was "Jesus is my friend". She was a loving mother, grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Smitherman is survived by her daughter, Ann McDaniel; husband Heflin; grandson, Brandon McDaniel (fiancé, Jerry Ann Jackson); granddaughter, Jayna Pelfrey, husband, Rodney; and two great-grandchildren, Brett Finn and Quinn Pelfrey.
Visitation will be Monday, April 2, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at Weogufka Family Worship Center. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Goodwater Healthcare Center and Southern Care Hospice, for the care they gave and the love they showed to Mrs. Smitherman and her family.
