Michael
Smitherman, infant son of Mr and Mrs W.B. Smitherman, 333 N. 17th St.,
died Sunday night in the Henry County hospital. Besides the
parents, he is survived by a brother, Tony Smitherman; two sisters,
Miss Joan Smitherman and Mrs Janet Knotts, San Diego, Cal., a
half-sister, Mrs Margaret Summers, Marion, Ind., three half-brothers,
Donald Smitherman, Ernest Smitherman, all of New Castle; and Marvin
Smitherman of Anderson; the paternal grandmother, Mrs Tennie
Smitherman, East Bend, N.C. and the maternal step-grandfather, Tony
Smith, New Castle. The body was removed from the Fox and Macer funeral
home to South Mound
cemetery where graveside rites were held this morning at 11 o'clock.
