Ronald Parks Smitherman 53 died
February 26 2002 at Williamsburg Community Hospital in Williamsburg VA
after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Sally
Elizabeth Parks Smitherman and L. R. Smitherman Sr. Survivors include
his wife Cynthia R. Smitherman of Williamsburg; a daughter Sally
Christine Smitherman of Selmer TN; a son Ryan Parks Smitherman of
Selmer TN; and a brother Dr. L. R. Smitherman Jr. of Lafayette GA. A
private memorial service will be held in Lafayette GA with burial in
Lafayette Cemetery. Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home of Lafayette has
charge. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the American Cancer
Society .
