Dean Dinkins Sept. 3 1943 - Dec. 31, 2012 Wallace Dean Dinkins, 69, of
Winston-Salem passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at Kate B Reynolds
Hospice. Wallace was born September 3, 1943 to the late Nelson G. and
Mabel Smitherman Dinkins. He was a graduate of Yadkinville High School
and served in the USAF. He had been a member of the UNC Rams Club for
over thirty years. He is survived by two sisters Patricia D. Shoaf
(Richard) and Kay D. Chamberlain. Nieces Brenna Long (Marty) and
Melinda Vestal (David). Two great nephews Connor and Carson Long. Also
caregiver and special friend Steve Brown and special friend Alvin
Tyndall. A Memorial service will be from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday
January 5, 2013 at Marvin United Methodist Church, 4401 Indiana Avenue,
Winston-Salem 27105 at Stained Glass Playhouse. The family requests
that memorials be made to the Church or playhouse.
