Billy Don Smitherman, age 60, of
Skyland Oaks Retirement Center, has gone to play his music for the Lord
on April 7, 2002. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at
1:00 p.m. at Memory Chapel. Rev. Ed King is officiating. Burial will
follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Memory Chapel is directing.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Lee and Willie Bell Smitherman; and brother Jerry Lee Smitherman.
He is leaving behind sons, Donnie Smitherman (Doriann); Mickey Smitherman; a daughter Billie Dawn Weaver (Justin); grandchildren, Brett Smitherman, Christian Smitherman, and Israel Smitherman; sisters, Linda Edmonds (Doug) and Peggy Sanders (Murray); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and his dog Foxy.
Pallbearers will be Billy Jo Mott, Mike Miller, Phil Edmonds, Lee Edmonds, Danny Scarbrough, Jackie Smitherman, Tony Newman, Kenny Smitherman.
Honorary pallbearers are staff and residents of Skyland Oaks Retirement, Dr. Kamal, and the staff of DCH Regional Medical Center, Holt High School class of 1960.
A special Thank You to a wonderful and dedicated friend Billy Jo Mott.
In Lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to ones favorite charity.
